Over the years, doing our own travel planning has built an understanding of how the pieces fit together: the purpose and supporting documents behind a visa application, a suitable season to visit, flight schedules and connections, accommodation policies, and the trade-offs between different locations and ways of getting around.
We look beyond a booking on its own. Does the arrival time work with check-in? Is a hotel or an Airbnb stay better suited to the trip? Which neighbourhood puts you closer to the things you want to do? What transport makes sense for the route?
